Inventory and variants

The Shosho Seller Hub allows you to sell products with variants and tracked stock.

Variants

A variant is a specific version of a product — a size, colour, or other option.

E.g. A T-shirt in sizes S/M/L and colours Black/White has six variants.

E.g. A baseball card case break with 30 teams and two half-case slots has sixty variants.

In Shosho Seller Hub, add product options in the Attributes step. Create a Title (e.g. “Size” or “Colour”) and enter Values as a comma-separated list (e.g. “S, M, L” or “Black, White”). The Hub generates a variant grid for every combination, then you set prices in the Variants step.

Buyers see a picker on the product page, they select the option and value that suits them best, and see the price of that variant. They then press Add to cart to check out.

Inventory

Stock is tracked per variant, per stock location. Most sellers ship from one location, but you can have multiple locations if you prefer.

Set up stock locations and shipping before adding inventory. Then use Inventory to select variants, edit inventory, turn on the stock location where each variant is available, and enter the number in stock.

The buyer sees stock state on the product page: in stock, low stock (“Only 3 left”), or out of stock. The cart respects stock limits.

When stock changes

  • Add to cart doesn’t reserve stock — two buyers can race for the last unit.
  • Checkout completes reduces stock.
  • Cancelled or refunded orders return stock.
  • Failed checkout returns stock automatically.
