Pre-flight checklist
Use this handy check list to have a great live stream.
Identity and profile
- Logged in with the right profile.
- Display name and profile picture set. Both show on the live event card.
- Bio set so first-time visitors know who you are.
Stream setup
- Streaming server configured and reachable — for BYO RTMP, confirm it’s running.
- Title is specific and accurate — “Painting Nostr stickers + Q&A” beats “Live!”.
- Thumbnail set — good thumbnails drive viewers.
- Right stream type chosen — Live Show or Show Chat.
Hardware and capture
- Preview looks good. – right camera, right lighting
- Camera quality settings correct — “High” for 5g, or “Low” for worse connections
- Microphone tested at normal volume — not muted
- Phone plugged in or fully charged.
- Phone in a stable stand (or held deliberately).
- Phone in portrait mode (Shosho is portrait-only).
Connectivity
- Wi-Fi or strong cellular signal
- Coverage holds for your route if you’re moving.
Shop is ready for buyers
- All products you’ll mention are published.
- Prices and stock are current.
- Approved to sell on Shosho Shop if you’re selling Shopping Cart products.
Audience and chat
- Stream announced on your other socials a few minutes ahead.
- You know how to mute, block, or report a chatter.
Recovery plan
- You know how to recover from a drop.
- Backup connection ready — e.g. cellular if you’re on Wi-Fi.
Five minutes before
- Bandwidth-hungry apps closed (music, downloads).
- Phone in Do Not Disturb Mode.
- Title and thumbnail double-checked.
- Press Go Live – and have a great live stream!
